Anthony J. Huszcza died on Jan. 1, 2011, in Placerville, Calif.

He was a Master Builder and Civil Engineer. Mr. Huszcza was born July 21, 1941, in Alexandria, Virgina., to Anthony and Anna Huszcza (nee McMahon). He graduated from Manhattan College with a Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree.

He was a Commissioned Officer in the United States Coast Guard with a rank of Lieutenant (Junior Grade).

After an honorable discharge from the Coast Guard, Mr. Huszcza worked as a Project Manager for Gilbane Building Company. His projects included the John Hancock Tower in Boston and several buildings at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland. He was Construction Manager for the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority before retiring to Placerville, Calif.

Anthony J. Huszcza is survived by his three children, Jennifer, Anthony and Andrew; his two sisters, Mary Anne Pond and June McMahon; and by the Pond family, with whom he lived for many years in Placerville.

Services will be held at St. Patrick Church in Placerville on Friday, Jan. 7 at 11 a.m.
