MANCHESTER, WILLIAM J., JR., age 66, of 66 Hopeworth Ave., Bristol, died Monday, October 8, 2007 at RI Hospital, Providence. He was the husband of Eileen C. (Stanzione) Manchester and they would have celebrated their 42nd Wedding Anniversary on this Friday.

Born in Fall River, MA and a lifelong resident of Bristol, he was the son of the late William J. and Minnie (Brown) Manchester.

Mr. Manchester was a graduate of the former De LaSalle Academy, Newport and Providence College, receiving his B.S. in Business Administration in 1963.

He was a Purchasing Agent for the Kenney Manufacturing Co. in Warwick for 5 years, retiring several years ago. He previously was a systems analyst for 22 years for American Insulated Wire Co. in Pawtucket.

He served in the US Army Reserves from 1963-1969. He was a communicant of St. Mary's Church, Bristol. An avid bowler he was a member of the St. Leo's Bowling League in Pawtucket for many years.

He loved traveling, and was a avid sports fan of both the Boston Red Sox and the NE Patriots. He will be remembered as a dedicated and loving husband and father.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Christopher S. Manchester, a daughter, Wendy A. Wardwell and her husband, Robert, all of Bristol, and a sister, Nancy A. Manchester of London, England.

Funeral services from Sansone Funeral Home, 192 Wood St., Bristol, Friday, 9 AM with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Mary's Church, Bristol. Burial will follow in North Burial Ground, Bristol. Visiting hours Thursday, 4-8 PM.
