Newport Bike Path / Pedestrian Walkway - Survey Print survey form
RIDOT is currently studying the reconstruction of Pell Bridge Approach Roads and Ramps. This survey will provide you with an opportunity to express what you would prefer to see happen to the railroad right-of-way between Admiral Kalfus Road and the railroad depot at Bridge Street.
Please take a minute to answer a few questions. When you are done, click on the Submit button and your responses will be emailed to me. If you would prefer, you may print the form and mail it to me at Peter Martin, 1 Willow Street, Newport, RI 02840. The combined responses will be forwarded to RIDOT in a summary form.

What would you prefer to see happen to the existing railroad tracks?

Do nothing, Leave the tracks exactly as they are.
Remove both tracks and construct a Southbound road from the Newport Bridge
Continue that road Northbound to Admiral Kalfus Road.
Remove both rails and make it a Bike path / Pedestrian walkway.
Remove only the West track, put up a short divider fence, and
make the West side a bike path / pedestrian walkway.
